Climbing for a Cause – World Wildlife Fund CN Tower Stair Climb

This month Shulman Law Firm employees are banding together in a friendly, inter-office competition that will ultimately raise money for an excellent cause. For the month of April we are fundraising in order to support the World Wildlife Fund’s continuous efforts to protect endangered species and their habitats. The staff here are so enthusiastic about the cause that we have entered two teams to participate in the WWF CN Tower Stair Climb, which is to take place on Thursday, May 1st. On this day, ‘The Legal Eagles’ and ‘Sentenced to Climb’ will attempt to conquer 1,776 stairs in order to raise awareness for endangered species while attempting to beat one another’s time and fundraising efforts.

The WWF was first conceived in the early 1960’s, with its main goal being that of the conservation of the world’s most endangered species. As the organization grew and the importance of conservation increased, it became necessary to also put forth efforts into maintaining the habitats that these species dwell in, which are suffering greatly due to rapid human expansion and development. As of today, despite the persistent efforts of organizations such as the WWF, it is estimated that approximately 200-2,000 species become extinct every single year. For more information please visit the WWF Homepage.

It is important to support organizations such as the WWF, in order to unite in the common goal of supporting a healthy and sustainable environment for all species. Please assist us in our endeavor by contributing to one of our team donation pages as we climb to promote awareness for endangered species all over the world.
