This past weekend a group of Shulman Law Firm employees participated in the Big Brothers Big Sisters Toronto event, “Bowl for Kids Sake”. During the month of February our team “Motion to Strike” has been fundraising and collecting donations in order to support BBBST’s youth programs, which provide Toronto children who are in need of extra support with mentors. For more about BBBST and their localized initiatives please feel free to visit their Home Page.
When we originally began collecting donations for our BBBST initiative, our team goal was to raise $600.00 in the three weeks leading up to the event. In the end, our team “Motion to Strike”, was able to exceed this goal exponentially, as we collected a combination of cash and online donations amounting to $1,020.00! It was wonderful for us to see that so many others were willing to help their community by contributing to this great cause.
We would like to thank everyone who assisted Shulman Law Firm in our BBBST initiative. The mentoring programs provided by Big Brothers Big Sisters Toronto have assisted over 472,000 youth in Canada since 1913. The “Bowl for Kids Sake” event we participated in this weekend brought in over $140,000.00, which will be used to fund BBBST programs. Every contribution is an important one and our team is grateful for everyone who was able to donate to our cause.
Our team members would also like to thank BBBST for the amazing event that they organized over the weekend. Our employees had an amazing time working with the staff at BBBST and we are looking forward to assisting this organization with future initiatives as well. Not only does BBBST support a great cause, but they are an organization that is fun and easy to work with.
