My Ex and I have been separated for a while, and are thinking about getting a divorce. I’m not sure where to begin. What Canadian laws should I look up, to find out about getting a divorce and splitting up our property?
If I believe my Ex is not complying with COVID-19 physical distancing protocols, or is unvaccinated, can I decide to keep them from seeing the child we have together?
Is it my daughter’s right to have proof of address/hotel of where her Ex is taking their 3-year-old son every other weekend before pick up?
I recently inherited from my mom a large sum of money, and 3 months later my wife asked for separation. Saying years of mental abuse and wants to separate. She also has a new guy friend (family friend… ) that she is spending great deal of time with, with me being allowed to be there at same time. Does she have rights to the money? Can I give the money back to my mom or family member? What happens to that money if we file for separation or divorce, is she entitled to my inheritance?
Due to COVID-19, my spouse and I have been unable to separate for financial reasons. We still live in the same house, but the relationship is over and we are both committed to getting divorce. How do we speed up getting a divorce in these tough economic times?
I would like to know if you are married but planning on a divorce and just bought a home but the mortgage and the title deed are in both your husband’s name are you still entitled to receive half as you are married ? Thank you.
There is an order to provide CRA with a copy of our agreement giving notice of father’s entitlement. He has not, and Ontario and Canada child benefit has denied claim, stating the father is not primary care parent although all documentation was provided. Mother was to amend birth registration and refuses, not sure if this is why Child Benefit is being denied despite the court order and documentation supporting claim by school and doctor. Should a contempt order be used.
