Shulman & Partners LLP’s Pledge to #PushforProgress

You’ve probably noticed that our website has changed today. In support of International Women’s Day, we felt that it was important to focus our attention on the issue of gender parity, and highlight some of the ways that we support the women in our workplace.

Half of our lawyers are women, but 70% of our staff are women. Therefore, we have pledged to ensure that they are visible, and are represented in a positive manner. Our female lawyers take a lead role in most of our print and television interviews with the media, and are the authoritative representatives for our legal team. We extend meaningful opportunities to all of the women working in our various departments, which will help them grow and succeed. In fact, our finance, marketing, HR and administrative departments are all lead by women.

We’ve also pledged to celebrate achievements and accomplishments of the women in our workplace. We proudly share our female employees’ successes and victories with the rest of the firm, and always give them credit for the new and innovative ideas they bring to the table.

Finally, we’ve pledged to influence others’ beliefs and actions towards women in the workplace by actively contributing to changing the status quo. We promote a culture of inclusivity, and take every opportunity to build all of our employees up. It’s the only way we can truly succeed as a team.

We’ve made our pledge to #PressforProgress, and we encourage you to do the same. Check out the International Women’s Day website to make your pledge.
