Daniel obtained his law degree and Masters in Environmental Studies at the same time through the joint MES/JD program administered by Osgoode Hall Law School and York University.
He was called to the Bar of Ontario the following year in 2011. Prior to that Daniel completed a specialized honours degree in psychology at York University, graduating magna cum laude.
At the outset, Daniel had a keen interest in general litigation and court room advocacy, including the practice of Family Law. Since joining Shulman Law Firm in 2014 Daniel has practiced exclusively in the area of Family Law and regularly represents clients in respect of custody and access issues, child and spousal support, division of property, separation and prenuptial agreements, and divorce.
While he believes that out of court negotiations should be the first approach to resolving matrimonial disputes, he is well equipped to represent clients inside the courtroom and has appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice, Superior Court of Justice, Divisional Court, and Federal Court of Canada.
