Peter Simm

Peter works behind the scenes as a research lawyer at Shulman & Partners LLP, meaning he’s our secret weapon.

Peter’s love for legal research began at the University of Toronto’s Law School, where he was a research assistant to various professors and served as an Associate Editor at the UofT Faculty of Law Review. Upon being called to the Ontario Bar in 1991, he worked in the Legal Research Dept. of a major Bay Street firm.

Peter has researched and written a multitude of winning factums. His Court of Appeal victories include a case cited in 9 Family Law textbooks. His other cases are cited in another 131 different legal textbooks and in 93 appellate court decisions.  

As author or co-author, Peter has been published extensively on issues of law and public policy.
