Caitlin O'Garr
Caitlin obtained her Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Ottawa before returning to complete her Juris Doctor degree in 2021. She articled with a mid-sized Ottawa firm until she was called to the bar in 2022. Caitlin remained with the firm as an associate practicing primarily family law, wills, and civil litigation.
Beginning her legal career while a student-at-law, Caitlin worked with a number of practitioners in the Ottawa area. Her work as a student included experience in family, criminal, privacy, corporate, real estate, wills and estates, public, and administrative law. During her time as a student, Caitlin assisted in researching, drafting, and editing a number of publications now found in Westlaw Canada and the Supreme Court Law Review. She has also assisted University of Ottawa faculty in developing new specialized family law courses. Caitlin is a committed litigator who draws on more than a decade of customer service experience to provide compassionate and competent advice for each client’s matter.
