David Sorbara

David is an associate lawyer with Shulman & Partners LLP, practicing primarily in family law since his call to the Ontario Bar in 2024.

 

David's practice focuses on divorce, parenting, child and spousal support, and property matters. He maintains carriage of his own files and regularly appears before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice for case conferences, settlement conferences, and motions. A significant part of his work involves advancing contested matters through procedural and substantive motions, while working toward early, practical resolution whenever possible.

 

David routinely drafts pleadings, financial statements, separation agreements, and domestic contracts, and regularly reviews and analyzes financial and parenting disclosure. He has also assisted as co-counsel at trial and participated in mediation-arbitration proceedings.

 

David completed his LL.B. through the Laurier-Sussex Partnership Program at the University of Sussex, after beginning his studies at Wilfrid Laurier University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts.
