Kassandra Kurek

Kassandra is an associate lawyer with Shulman & Partners LLP, and a 2026 call who is passionate about family law.

 

Kassandra graduated from Toronto Metropolitan University in 2022 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a minor in Law. Her undergraduate law classes inspired her to pursue law school, and she went on to obtain her Juris Doctor from Western University in 2025. During her time at Western, Kassandra spent considerable time at the Community Legal Services clinic, where she primarily worked on family law and child protection files for underserved communities, where she learned to navigate issues related to substance abuse, domestic abuse, child protection, and parallel criminal proceedings. She also volunteered with Pro Bono Students Canada and served as Co-President of the Family Law Students Association. 

 

Kassandra recently completed her articling term at the Office of the Children's Lawyer, where she was able to work on family law and child protection files from a new perspective, gaining experience appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice.
