Michael Austin
Michael is an associate lawyer with Shulman & Partners LLP. He obtained his law degree from Middlesex University in London, UK, and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2024.
Michael's practice is client-focused and results-oriented. He strives to resolve matters efficiently, avoid unnecessary expense, and minimize conflict to achieve positive outcomes for his clients, and is attentive to when alternative dispute resolution processes may be more appropriate to achieve a successful result.
Before joining the firm, Michael practiced at a boutique family law firm, where he worked on matters involving parenting, support, property, and financial issues arising from separation and divorce. He has also completed Collaborative Practice training. Prior to law, Michael worked as a financial advisor and was involved in tech and AI-focused working groups, experiences that continue to inform the practical and analytical approach he brings to his practice.
