What is a parenting plan?

0

A Parenting Plan is simply a written plan prepared by both you and your Ex, which achieves a workable arrangement for the care and upbringing of your child. It governs the period of time after your child’s custody and access has already been determined by a court.

A well-drafted Parenting Plan will force you and your Ex, as parents, to consider – and more importantly, agree upon – the fundamental approach you want to take towards raising your child even though the two of you are separated. It will also delve into the specifics of your post-separation arrangement, including mutually-agreed details for the day-to-day responsibilities and arrangements that need to be made to ensure your child’s well-being.
