Julia is an associate lawyer with Shulman & Partners LLP. She completed a two year accelerated law degree (J.D.) from Western Michigan University Law School and received her Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) from the University of Windsor.  She has also completed additional training in general civil, advanced civil and domestic mediation. Julia has practiced both as a lawyer and adjudicator since her call to the bar in 2019.

 

Since graduating she's maintained that same zeal for the law through involvement in the Ontario Bar Association (as a former editor of the legal publication Matrimonial Affairs) and she's currently giving back to her community as a board member on the Windsor Family Health Team.  Her current passion project involves the more widespread dissemination of information through a family law focused legal educational podcast to be released this coming summer in collaboration with The Honourable R. John Harper, a former senior family law judge for all of Ontario.

 

Julia has the added insight of being a former adjudicator as well for Tribunals Ontario, of which many of her decisions are published on CanLII.  She pairs this experience with attention to detail, thorough preparation and an empathetic ear towards her clients to deliver professional excellence and high quality support.
